Can you find any error in the eventlog? An already known bug is, when you add the files in a subfolder of the monitored folder. Please add only one folder to the montoring list and try to add the files in this folder. I will correct the error with the next release.

Hi I've installed you add in and love it. I was trying to use it with DirHtml as in wegotserved.com's review of your add in.

For some reason though I can't get the add in to fire off the batch command or the email messages even though the email test works fine.

I've made sure that send mail is selected and the directory is set with and email address and batch command but they never seem to work but the view is showing

Thanks in advance for you help.

Thanks for the support Daniel!

For anyone else who might experience the same problem, the solution appears to have been to delete the DB.WHS.Helper.dll from the "C:/program files/Windows Home Server" directory and to re-install the plugin following.

Hi Adam,

you have an email.
For all others who have the same problem, please try the following:
- connect to server
- run command line
- type cd "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727" ENTER
- type installutil -u "C:\Program Files\Windows Home Server\WHSDirectoryWatcherService.exe"
After this, you can un and reinstall the add-in normally.

Hey Daniel,

I just tried to upgrade my 1.0 version of the Directory Watcher add-in and am encountering problems. First, I (stupidly) tried to install the 1.1 version while 1.0 was still installed and got an error. I went back and uninstalled the previous version and installed the new version. Unfortunately, I'm getting the error below when I try to log into my WHS Console. I tried deleting the noted DLL from the WHS console directory which got rid of the error, but when I tried to install the 1.1 add-in nothing showed up beyond the console informing me that it was installed. Then when I uninstalled it again I'm back to the error below. Any help on a complete removal and re-install would be great. Thanks!

"The previous attempt to open the Windows Home Server Console was not successful because there was a problem with the following file: HomeServerConsoleTab.WHSDirectoryWatcher.dll. If the problem persists, please uninstall the add-in associated with the file and try again."

"immediately on event" is checked (and saved).

Email is there in the folder. Steps taken (maybe I've missed a step?) to add email address:

1. Click on Watch Folder
2. Click on Add Email Address
3. Click on Add mail
4. Type in email address
5. Close.
6. Click Save.

Nothing in the event log that looks email related. I even rebooted the box and re-checked the settings to make sure all settings were saved correctly.

Is “immediately on event” really checked?
Receiver address for the folder configured? Nothing in eventlog?

Test email works. Events are showing in the add-in, but emails do not get received. Checked spam folder as well just to make sure.
